By the end of this course, you will:

Have explored what is meant by Special Educational Needs, (SEN), and our role as educators of all.

In any classroom, pupils learn at different speeds and in different ways. This has a great impact on teaching as educators need to plan their lessons and choose different types of lesson materials to help each child learn best. A child who needs a lot of extra help in reading, writing, numbers, talking and listening, developing social skills, physical skills, emotion, mental health and behaviour, has special educational needs (SEN). This course explores what the most common types of special needs are and strategies to support every pupil to achieve the best outcomes.
