Have gained a comprehensive introduction to programming to teach primary school students.
Over twelve weeks, we’ll introduce you to key programming concepts. You’ll have the chance to apply your understanding of them through projects, both unplugged and on a computer, using Scratch as the programming language. You’ll learn how to debug and develop strategies to fix them.

This online course will give you access to a range of videos, articles, presentations that focus on:
- Introduction to programming and algorithms using Scratch.
- Creating animation and repitition in Scratch
- Creating variables and exploring how to use these in real life examples.
- Explore the concept of selection and using this in creating quizzes.
- Reflect on all of the key programming concepts to create your own final challenge project.
This is an online course. There are no physical classes. The course lasts for 12 weeks. When you register, you will be added to a closed WhatsApp community where you can interact with tutors and fellow students.
There will be quizzes, group discussions, assignments and a project. On completion, you will be awarded a certificate of completion (at three levels; Distinction, Merit or Pass).
