This course will help you develop confidence in dealing children that have Autism. You will learn that autism is a complex and challenging long-term condition which affect many children and their families.
It is an aspect of human diversity and not meant to be a stigma as it has been for a long time. Across the world, autism remains a huge cause for concern. 
In this online course, you will learn 
-how ideas about autism have evolved and explores diagnosis, causes, intervention and life-span development. 
-strategies for managing children with autism so that they achieve their potential. 
 
You will also get the opportunity to look at real life examples within your own practice and learn how to create support plans that involves all the adults that are connected with the individual child. 
 
This is an online course only and there are no physical classes. 
 
There are 6 modules in this course with assignments given at the end of each module. You will carry out the assignments and send your work to your tutor. Your tutor will give you feedback after going through. 
 
The video lectures are pre-recorded, so you will have acess to them anytime and anywhere via the internet. The entire course is designed to last 10 -12 weeks. 
 
For further support, you will be added to a private WhatsApp group for students where you can get group coaching and answers to questions that you have. 
 
At the end of the course, you will be awarded a certificate as evidence of completion. The certificate grades are: pass, merit or distinction.
